Section 504

The Blue Springs R-IV School District provides a free appropriate public education to each qualified person with a disability in the District’s jurisdiction. Under Section 504 federal regulations, a free and appropriate education consists of the provision of regular or special education and related aids and services designed to meet individual educational needs of disabled persons as adequately as the needs of nondisabled persons are met.

Procedural Safeguards Notice Section 504 Parent/Student Rights in Identification, Evaluation, and Placement can be made available in foreign language translations. For more information, contact your school’s 504 Building Coordinator, Principal, or the office of Special Services.
