The Department of Public Safety for the Blue
Springs School District was formed in 2005. The department has 25 commissioned officers and two police canines. It is comprised of the Police Chief Mike Russell, two Sergeants, 22 SROs and the Administrative Assistant Chris Kupka, There is an SRO dedicated to each school building in the district.
