School Nutrition Education

The National School Lunch and Breakfast Program has changed drastically over the years, but for the better. By introducing students to more whole grain options, increased variety of fruits/vegetables, reduced fat options, and lower sodium has put school meals at the top of the totem pole for the highest quality meals. If you have any questions regarding the USDA meal patterns followed, please reach out to us. We work with local C&C Produce as well as local farmers through the KC Food Hub to bring in farm fresh produce on a weekly basis. All students are able to receive a fully reimbursable meal, which includes a main entrée, fruit, vegetable, and milk. However, you may see occasional substitutions to our menus depending on what products we are able to get in from our distributors.
