“Counseling is open to individuals, families or groups and addresses a range of issues in an attempt to start the recovery process. Youth are usually referred by police officers after criminal offenses but can also be referred by school counselors or concerned family. CYOU also offers assistance for short-term and long-term issues through crisis intervention and referrals to specialists throughout the Greater Kansas City Area.”

For the past 21 years, the CYOU has partnered with the Blue Springs School District to provide resources, training and support to students or residents ages 6-17.
