PowerSchool Guide for Checking Grades

PowerSchool is a great tool for staying up to date on your student's academic progress.

Below are simple instructions for checking grades and setting up automatic email alerts.

Download the App

The official 'Get it on Google Play' badge with the multicolored triangle logo.  A black rectangular button with white text that reads 'Download on the App Store' and the Apple logo.

Checking Grades

When looking at your student's grades and attendance dashboard, you can dive deeper into their day-to-day progress.

Click on any overall grade (for example, an "A 94") listed next to a class. This will bring up a detailed list of all the assignments for that specific quarter or semester.

This detailed view includes the Due Date, Category, Assignment Name, Score, Percent, and Letter Grade for each task.

While looking at the detailed list of assignments, keep an eye out for "Flags." Teachers use these flags to quickly let you know the status of an assignment. The flags will indicate if an assignment was:

  • Collected
  • Late
  • Missing
  • Exempt from Final Grade
  • Absent
  • Incomplete
  • Excluded
