Erica Eischeid - April 2026
The April Employee of the Month is Erica Eischeid. Erica is a science teacher at Brittany Hill Middle School who has taught for 23 years, including the last five at BSSD.
Project Lead the Way teacher Cindy Clark said, “I have the privilege of working alongside Erica as a robotics coach, and she exemplifies excellence in every aspect of her role. She is consistently supportive, provides insightful guidance to students, and maintains exceptional communication with parents. Her dedication, leadership, and positive influence make her an outstanding role model. Erica is truly amazing.”
Colleague Dana Bowers added, “She is a thoughtful, dependable colleague who consistently shows up for her team, lending a hand and lifting others up when it’s needed most. You can count on her without hesitation, and her quiet strength and unwavering reliability make our school community better.”
Fellow science teacher Madison Chelbicki said, “She is a coworker and friend I look up to and hope to emulate someday. Erica is always there for her students. They thrive in her classroom. She is always thinking of fun, new, and creative labs to incorporate into her lessons. Teaching is her true calling, and it shows. I feel lucky to know the brilliant, genuine, and caring person that is Erica Eischeid.”
Eighth grade Social Studies teacher Sydney Huffman said, “Erica is not only an amazing teacher, but an incredible colleague and person. She drops everything to be a helping hand to anyone in our building. She champions others and recognizes the small acts of goodness she sees in our building. She makes sure her peers, just like her students, feel seen and appreciated. I am a better teacher, better friend, and better colleague because I work across the hall from Erica.”
Sydney added, “Erica is the most dedicated educator I have worked with. Her passion for teaching goes far beyond her love for her content; she deeply cares about every single child who walks into her room. She creates an environment where students feel seen. Her classroom is a place where students’ successes are celebrated, and their mistakes are turned into opportunities for growth. She embodies what it means to be a selfless leader, and we are so grateful to have her at Brittany Hill.”
