Tiffany Morris - November 2025
The November Employee of the Month is Tiffany Morris, Literary Coach at Sunny Pointe Elementary in her 24th year at BSSD. Tiffany is a member of the SPE CARE team, Building Leadership Team, Reading and Writing Vertical Teams, and ELA Cadre. She was also named a building teacher of the year while at Daniel Young Elementary.
In 2008, while teaching first grade at Daniel Young Elementary, Tiffany received a Milken Educator Award. This prestigious award honors early-to-mid career educators for their already impressive achievements and, more significantly, for the promise of what they will accomplish in the future. Milken Educator award winners also receive $25,000 of unrestricted funds, and, to date, Tiffany was the last recipient of BSSD’s Cornerstone of Education Award.
Kindergarten teacher Sierra Smith said, “Tiffany is a ray of sunshine. She constantly goes above and beyond, offering unwavering support to both her students and colleagues. She is always ready to lend a hand or share her wisdom. We are so lucky to have her at SPE.”
Interventionist Allison Roderick added, “Tiffany is the most professional, reliable, and knowledgeable coworker. She does a lot of behind-the-scenes tasks at SPE that might go unnoticed, but she does it with a smile on her face. She makes data-driven decisions for the betterment of our students. She is a true one-of-a-kind teacher and friend.”
Fifth grade teacher Shelby Stanley said, “Tiffany is possibly the hardest worker at SPE. For years, she came to school early to help support the love of reading in a student with dyslexia. Tiffany’s dedication to literacy is inspiring.”
District Instructional Coach Jolynn King said, “Tiffany’s passion for supporting students is contagious and makes a lasting impact across the SPE community. Her deep knowledge of literacy instruction, paired with her thoughtful insights and unwavering belief in what’s possible for kids, makes her a go-to resource for teachers and a valued leader in our district.”
