Stephanie Burasco - October 2025

The October Employee of the Month is Stephanie Burasco. Stephanie is a physical education teacher and head girls track coach at Delta Woods Middle School who has been teaching for eight years. She also leads the strength and conditioning, weightlifting, and active recovery intramural programs at Delta Woods.
Colleague AJ Taula said, “Coach Burasco is a big part of what makes Delta Woods such a great place for both students and staff. Always smiling and endlessly helpful, Stephanie creates a welcoming environment where students feel seen and staff feel supported. She builds strong, meaningful relationships with our athletes, encouraging them to give their best not just on the track, but in the classroom, too. I truly feel lucky to work alongside her. She continues to show me what it means to be not just a great mentor and leader, but a true role model for kids.”
Principal Dr. Shelley Brown said of Stephanie, “Stephanie takes more pride in her role as a physical education teacher than I’ve ever seen. Her attention to content, organization, relevance, and student safety is exceptional. She models professionalism, reliability, and kindness
for both students and adults. She truly is the consummate professional.”
Colleague Matt Abele added, “Stephanie is always available to lend a listening ear, no matter what she’s doing, and is ready to help with any situation. Her connection with students is nothing short of remarkable. Within days, she learns every girl’s name and discovers something special about each one.
There’s no doubt in my mind that Delta Woods is a special place because of the leadership, dedication, and care of teachers like Stephanie.”
Eighth grader Kendall Kruger said, “Having Mrs. Burasco as a teacher and coach has been an amazing experience! She has helped me grow in ways I never thought possible, and I’m so grateful for the positive difference she made in my life.”
Congratulations to Stephanie, the October Employee of the Month.
