Meeting the Challenge
BSSD hosted the 2026 Missouri Sphero Challenge Competition at Blue Springs High School. A total of 46 teams competed, and every elementary and middle school across BSSD was represented with the K-2 Indi, 3-5 Bolt, 6-8 Bolt, and 6-8 RVR+ divisions.
This year’s challenges included outdoor themes including exploring real and imagined parks, programming robots to brave the wild, and performing the duties of a park ranger.
Sixteen BSSD teams advanced to the Sphero Global Challenge Regional Competition March 7 at Delta Woods Middle School and competed for spots in the World Championship, which will be held virtually.
