A True Diamond
Blue Springs High School Debate and Forensics coach Brooke Gerecke was awarded a 1st Diamond degree in the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) Honor Society. The prestigious honor recognizes coaches who have at least 15,000 points and at least five years of coaching membership. It signifies a career blending coaching excellence with long-term service, with subsequent diamonds earned every 15,000–30,000 points.
Points are earned through coaching, student competition, and service, with coaches generally earning one-tenth of the points their students achieve. Congratulations to Brooke and the entire BSHS Debate and Forensics program.
