Congrats Grads!

The BSSD graduating class of 2025 included 1,213 seniors from Blue Springs High School, Blue Springs South High School and Valley View High School. While each class was celebrated in front of their family and friends in different ceremonies, they can share one common bond – the journey.
BSHS student speaker Deidra Pierre summed it up in her address to her fellow Wildcat grads – “Wherever we go, we’ll all be connected through our high school experiences. We forged through these last four years with friends by our side and have made memories to last a lifetime,” she said.
“We’ve made it through the hard part, and we came out the other side with friends alongside us. We’ve grown so much in these last four years, and I know there’s more in store for us.”
The graduating class of 2025 left a great legacy at BSSD and finished strong. They combined for more than $17.8 million in national and local academic and athletic scholarships and five National Merit Finalists their senior year. Blue Springs and Blue Springs South high schools held commencement ceremonies at Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center for the first time.
Now as they head into their future, the Class of 2025 can follow the advice of BSSHS senior speaker Haley Jackson, who challenged her classmates to go forth and reach even greater goals.
“Go chase that dream. Say yes to new things. Make mistakes. Learn. Laugh. Love big. And live loud,” she said. “And when the next ‘first day’ comes, take a deep breath, lift your head, and walk boldly into your next chapter.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 and may all of our graduates enjoy a bright future.
