Day 66

Every year state assessments tend to cause schedule changes for each grade.  Whether your class is testing that day or not, this can make for some long mornings or long afternoons.  4th graders are reviewing their skills as they prepare for this year’s MAP test.  The word REVIEW often earns groans and moans from a class.  Here you see students playing “Scoot” on their geometry skills in Mrs. Boyd’s class.  This game has 32 task cards which are laid around the classroom.  Students started with 1 minute to answer the task card before “scooting” to the next desk.  By the end of the game these kids were answering the cards in 15 seconds.  This game made review fast, fun and helpful!
