What is Parent Portal/E-Registration?Website: https://pschool.bssd.netParent Portal not only monitors your student’s attendance (at the elementary level) and academic progress through the internet, it will also be the site where you locate documents, register students in school, and update demographic information. Once your account is set-up, it will be available every year with the username and password you created. Student Portal allows students in grades 6-12 view their grades/attendance and fill out their electronic paperwork each year (under Student Permissions).

In Parent Portal, yes, go to Account Preferences and click on the pencil icon next to the password to edit your password. In Student Portal, no.
Can I check my student’s lunch balance?
In Parent Portal, it is available under Balance. This will show you the student's lunch balance, as well as any fees due.
Can progress reports be emailed to me?
Currently elementary cannot see grades. For secondary the answer is Yes! Go to Email Notification, select the reports you would like to receive, frequency, any additional e-mails, and Submit.
Enrolled my Kindergarten student in the spring, do I need to complete E-Registration again?
Yes, you will need to verify demographic data is accurate and sign the permissions for 17-18. You do not need to attend the residency verification at the middle schools.
Forgot my username/password--how can I retrieve?
Go to the website https://pschool.bssd.net and click on Forgot Username or Password? You will need to provide the email you used to create the account. You will receive an email containing information to log into the account.
Forgot the Email I used to create my account—what do I do now?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and provide your student’s name and school, your name, address, and phone number. Once your information has been verified, you will be emailed your student’s information. Please allow 48 hours (M-F) for a return email.
How do I add a student to my current Parent Portal account?
1. Log into your account.
2. Click on Account Preferences.
3. Click on the Students tab.
4. Select Add.
5. Enter Student's Name (from letter you received) Access ID (from letter), Access Password (from letter), select Relationship, and Submit.
How do I create a Parent Portal account?
After new students have gone through residency verification, parent will go to their oldest student’s school to register. They will be provided with a letter to create an account for their student.
1. Log onto https://pschool.bssd.net and click on Create Account tab.
2. Enter the parent/guardian information in the Create Parent Account section. In the Link Student to Account section, enter the Student's Name (from letter), Access ID (from letter), and Access Password (from letter) and Enter.
3. On the Sign In page, enter your newly created Username and Password.
How do I register my returning student in the fall?
• Complete E-Registration. If your student is in grades 6-12, they will need to complete Student Permissions through their Student Portal.
• Bring one of the acceptable forms below to residency verification (dates posted on www.bssd.net by June).
* No final disconnect/shut off notices for utility bills are acceptable.• Pay any existing obligations
- Current electricity bill (30 days old or less) *
- Current gas bill (30 days old or less) *
- Current water bill (30 days old or less) *
- Lease agreement (signed by landlord)
- Mortgage statement
• Provide immunization updates
- Grade 8, Tdap [Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis] vaccine

How does my student complete their registration?
Students in grades 6-12 will be asked to sign forms electronically through their Student Portal prior to registration. They will need to log-in to their Student Portal account (**Note: Students in grades 10-12 may need to add an “S” to their student number for their username (if number is 111, then username would be S111)) and select Student Permissions. Click on all permissions, type your name, and Save.
I have no access to a computer to complete E-Registration.
Department of Public Safety and schools have technology available for parents/students to complete E-Registration.

Student’s grades/attendance are incorrect?
Contact your child's teacher directly, either by email or voicemail for issues with grades. For attendance issues, please contact the front office of your child’s school.

There is no link to E-Registration when I log in?
You have logged into the Student Portal. Parent Portal would have a username you selected when you set-up the account, not the student’s number.We will be out of town on the dates of registration.
Contact your student’s school and arrange another time.
What dates will Parent/Student Portal be closed?
The website will close one week after the last day of school, and will reopen on July 17, 2017 for E-Registration.
What is my student’s Student Portal password?
Passwords are the student’s birthdates. If your student’s birthdate is July 25, 2000, the password would be 7/25/2000 (no leading zeroes and you do type in the “/”).

Returning students in grades 9-12 will need to check www.bssd.net and select their school for dates.Why do all the tabs turn red again when I have already completed E-Registration?
If you went through all the screens and received the green check mark that you completed registration, any changes you made will either be under On file with the school or Please make your updates or changes. You do not need to complete again.
Why does it log me out?
You are required to re-logon after 30 minutes of inactivity. When you log back in, it will return to the active screen you were on.
