SCHOOL ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
Your student should not attend school if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
• Fever of 100.2 degrees or higher
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• New loss of taste or smell
• Cough or sore throat
• Chills, headache or muscle pain
If symptoms are present at school:
• Student will be removed from classroom and parents notified to pick up immediately
• Family of classmates will be notified
Visitors, arrival & dismissal procedures:
• No visitors in school buildings
• If picking up during school hours, call the school ahead of time and your student will be brought out to you
• Arrival and dismissal plans will be shared with families by the principal prior to the start of summer school
Plans for all buildings will include:
Parents/guardians stay in vehicles at arrival & dismissal. Students report directly to the classroom.
AT SCHOOL
• Daily temperature check for staff and students prior to drop off
• Per Jackson County, masks are required unless a student has a medical exemption
• Water fountains will be off limits. Students need to bring a labeled water bottle
• No large assemblies or field trips will take place
• No shared equipment without proper sanitization (computers, electronics, calculators, manipulatives and other items students contact)
• Class sizes will be restricted to observe social distancing
• Health and hygiene training provided for staff and students
• Additional hand sanitizing stations will be made available through the school
Lunch Time
• Students will wash their hands before and after lunch
• Food items will be individually packaged
• Students will eat lunch in the classrooms
Recess
• Students wash hands before and after recess
• Swings and playground equipment will be off limits

SYMPTOM GUIDELINES
If student has a temperature of 100.2° f or greater when tested upon arrival at school:
• Student will remain in car
• Student will not be allowed to enter building
• Any students with symptoms of COVID-19 may not return to school for 14 days after the first symptom appears and the student must be symptom and fever-free at least three days
• Parents of students in the class will be notified
If a student develops a fever of 100.2° f or greater during the day at school:
• Student will be isolated
• Parents will be notified and expected to take their student home within 30 minutes
• Any students with symptoms of COVID-19 may not return to school for 14 days after the first symptom appears and the student must be symptom and fever-free at least three days
• Parents of students in the class will be notified
If a student develops symptoms that are similar to COVID-19 with no fever:
• Student will be isolated
• Parents will be notified and expected to take student home within 30 minutes
• Student may return the following day if they are symptom and fever-free
