Tradition of Excellence in the District

Tradition of Excellence

Superintendent Dr. Bob JeromeThe 2022-2023 school year has reached the midway point and we celebrate reaching that milestone while having enjoyed a return to a traditional educational experience.

The holiday season is one of tradition, and a lasting tradition of our school district is the way our students and staff reached out to help those in need. Our schools gather items every year through Community Unity Week and that spirit carries on throughout the holiday season with activities that help benefit BSSD families.

Blue Springs High School students upheld a tradition of shaving their heads to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation, raising funds for childhood cancer research. And our community gives back in turn, with members of Abundant Life donating thanksgiving dinners for more than 125 BSSD families.

We also look forward to new traditions with the continued construction of the freshman addition at Blue Springs High School and those students joining their fellow Wildcats next year.

We look forward to our students and staff carrying our tradition of excellence into the second half of the school year and finishing even stronger.

Our high school seniors begin the final stretch of their BSSD academic careers and the leadership they have exhibited this year will leave a legacy for future graduating classes. Senior year passes by fast for students and their families - enjoy every moment and reach for the opportunities available.

Welcome back, and have a great second half of the school year.
