Mission and Objectives
  • Assist adults to become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency;
  • Assist adults who are parents to obtain the educational skills necessary to become full partners in the educational development of their children; and Assist adults in the completion of a secondary school education. 
Classes Offered
Adult Basic Education Classes
Reading, writing, and mathematics for learners functioning at or below the 8th grade equivalency. 
HSE Prep Classes
Reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, science and literature for learners functioning at the 9 - 12 grade level.
English as a Second Language Classes (ESL)
Classes providing non-English speaking people with the language skills needed to succeed in other educational/training programs and to cope more effectively with the challenges of their daily lives.
Transition Programs
Instruction specifically designed to prepare adult learners to enter post-secondary education, higher education, training programs and/or to improve their employability.
Online Instruction
Web-based program available to all eligible Missouri adults with busy work or family schedules.
