Mr. Michael Clatanoff

Hello parents and students, my name is Michael Clatanoff and I am the new 2nd Grade Teacher at Daniel Young Elementary School. I have been teaching and working with children for over 5 years now. You can call me Mr. Clatanoff or Mr. C.

I was born, raised, and currently reside in Kansas City, Missouri. I love my faith, my family, and my friends. I enjoy watching the Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, and the Missouri Tigers. I like listening to Oldies and Alternative Rock. My favorite restaurants are Jazz Louisiana Kitchen, Five Guys, and Firehouse Subs. I like Lemonade, Cherry Coke, and Sweet Tea. In my free time, I like spending time with my family, my friends, and learning about Kansas City history.

I graduated from Raytown High School in Raytown, Missouri. I went to the University of Missouri – Kansas City and the University of Central Missouri. I hold degrees in Communications and Elementary Education. I am certified to teach Elementary Education in Missouri and Kansas. I have worked at Longview Farm Elementary in Lee’s Summit, Southwood Elementary in Raytown, Robinson Elementary in Raytown, and Our Lady of Unity Catholic School in Kansas City, Kansas. I have worked with children from Kindergarten to 6th Grade.

I’d like to welcome you and your children to my classroom. The door is always open and I’m always available for an email. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me. My email is MClatanoff@bssd.net.

I look forward to meeting your children, learning about their goals and needs, and helping them develop as learners. I will work hard to make sure these kids are ready, not just for the next school grade, but for life after Daniel Young Elementary. I look forward to being a role model for them in the classroom. Again, my name is Mr. Clatanoff and I’d like to welcome you to my 2nd Grade Classroom.
