Miss Regan Riley

My name is Regan Riley and I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher.   I know some of you already from having your child in Pre-K summer school! I am thrilled to be able to teach your children again and excited to meet our new friends..

I graduated from University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a minor in Leadership and Service and a minor in French.  This is my first year teaching! Eight years ago I decided to become a teacher and have worked toward this goal since. I volunteered over 100 hours in elementary classrooms in high school and continued this in college.  I also was able to do an internship, participate in the Honor’s College research, and hold leadership roles in several clubs. I had a lot of fun too!

I was hired by the Blue Springs School District in December and when I found out I was placed at Chapel Lakes in Kindergarten, I was ecstatic.  I grew up on the Lee’s Summit side of Lakewood so my family’s home is a mile away! I have been a swim coach for the Lakewood Cruisers for years.  I had to resign this year due to teaching summer school. I have a little, 6’4 brother John who is a sophomore at Creighton University and a little sister Grace, who is a sophomore in high school.  We also have a crazy Goldendoodle named Lucy. I am a die-hard Mizzou fan so I will be heading to all of the home football games.

This will be a wonderful year of Kindergarten!  It will be a year of amazing growth as readers, writers, mathematicians, and as friends.  I know you know your child best. Would you please email me at RRiley@BSSD.net to share your hopes and dreams for your child this year.  Please feel free to share information that you believe would be helpful for me to know about your child.  Always feel free to email me with questions and concerns. We must have a strong partnership for your child to experience the most growth!
