Dakotah Jorgensen, LMSW

Hi! My name is Dakotah Jorgensen and this is my first year serving the Blue Springs School District. I have been a School Social Worker for 4 years and obtained licensure in 2018. I am so excited to be here working at PKMS, TUE, SPE and JNE. I have about 6 years of experience working with different schools, agencies and non-profits working with crisis interventions, behavioral and emotional interventions, resource allocation, homelessness, foster care, individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, therapy/psychiatric referrals, community agency referrals and more. I absolutely love being a Social Worker, especially in a school district like Blue Springs! I love witnessing positive change in the students and families that I serve. I can help with food, hygiene items, school supplies, rent/utility assistance, insurance, holiday assistance and much more. I can also meet with students or families to provide support, guidance, mediation and encouragement.

If you are a student, family member or teacher, please let me know how I can help!

I attended Saint Louis University for my Masters in Social Work where I concentrated in Family Therapy and specialized in School Social Work. I have experience with School Districts in the Kansas City and St. Louis area, Special Olympics of Missouri, St. Louis Arc that supports individuals and families with disabilities, the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, Salvation Army, local Animal Shelters and a variety of other Non-Profit Organizations. I love building relationships with agencies that can support families. I love to be outdoors, played soccer for 12 years and love animals!

I am determined to help you and your family to the best of my ability. If I do not know an answer, I will find it!
