A native of Metro Detroit, MI, Mr. Bushey began studying percussion at the age of nine. He holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from Central Michigan University and a Master of Music Performance from The Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. After graduate school, Mr. Bushey became the Director of Percussion at Lawrence North High School and Fall Creek Valley Middle School, where he started a district wide state champion indoor winter ensemble (Lawrence Township Winter Percussion) and WGI national finalist. Mr. Bushey is focused on taking his orchestral percussion background and his marching percussion experience to create and inspire students to become well rounded percussionists and people.

Mr. Bushey is enjoying his new role as Assistant Director of Bands/Percussion Specialist in the Blue Springs School District.
