This is my twelfth year teaching science to students in Missouri and I still enjoy every moment. I currently teach PLTW Biomedical science at Blue Springs Freshman Center in Blue Springs Missouri. I grew up near Saint Louis and attended high school at the Fort Zumwalt West. I was the first member of my family to graduate high school and pursue a college degree. I hold my bachelors degree in Biology Education, my masters in Curriculum and Instruction, I am currently working on my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Technology (all from UCM). I am a very enthusiastic and high energy teacher who enjoys learning with my students. I run a very hands-on but well organized classroom where students are responsible for their success and we have fun while learning. I have coached track, swimming, and diving. I live in Pleasant Hill, MO with my husband and six year old son. I love to travel and be outdoors. I have been blessed to travel to several places including Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, England, and Jamaica.
Principles of Biomedical Science (PBS) is the first course in the PLTW Biomed Program. It follows the storyline of Anna Garcia's death and we spend all year trying to determine how she died!
Most of our course work will be online and can be found at www.mypltw.org The students will access their LMS by using the username and password provided to them.
