  • ACT Prep Opportunities for Students in the Blue Springs School District

ACT Prep Semester Class:  This semester-long class is held during the regular school year. Students will need to sign up for this when they register for classes (class offered at no cost).

ACT Prep Days:  Prior to most ACT test days, each high school holds a test prep day. Please listen to the announcements concerning specific dates in your building. Students sign up for these in the counseling office (opportunity offered at no cost to students).

ACT Academy:  This is a 20-hour test-prep program held outside of the normal school day. The cost per student is $50.  Please visit the counseling office for additional information.

ACT Prep Online:  The district has purchased a site license from ACT for students to utilize this online test-prep tool at their convenience. If you have a busy schedule, this will provide you with the flexibility of working on it at your convenience.  Please see your counselor for information or go to.

ZAPS ACT Prep: This program is provided by the company Doorway to College (see flyer below). This is a 5-hour prep program held at our high schools. Students must register and pay $79.99 to attend. Students will have the opportunity to take part in one of two seminars. Seminar dates are October 3, 2015 at the Freshman Center and December 5, 2015 at BSSHS. Students will need to register at register.doorwaytocollege.com

Senior Targeted ACT Workshops:  All seniors should have taken the free ACT last year as juniors. The district has looked over the data and is providing targeted group prep based on students' results. Individual students will be contacted for specific focus-area prep opportunities.
