Mrs. Hilary Henry
Welcome to a new school year! I wanted to start off the year by introducing myself. This will be my 15th year in the Blue Springs School District and as an educator. I have taught 4th grade for all fifteen years and all at VSE. This is such an exciting age and a wonderful time to work with these young learners. I graduated from the University of Missouri (GO TIGERS!) in December of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. In December of 2006 I completed my Masters Degree in Education through Graceland University.
I come from a long line of educators in my family. Both of my parents are educators as well as other members of the family. My mom is a retired teacher who taught kindergarten for 15 years and a Title 1 Reading teacher in the Rolla School District. My dad retired from 30 years of teaching at the high school level and as Rolla High School’s head football coach and is currently in athletic sales. So as you can see, I strive to continue the family tradition. My family and I call teaching the “family business”!
I got married on May 25, 2013 to my husband Jeremy. We have a rather large 18 lb. cat, named Smokey, who we just adore. He is quite the cat with many dog like characteristics. He can be wild but adorable and cuddly all at the same time. My husband and I are huge Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals fans. Let’s just say we go to our fair share of home and away Mizzou football games. We also have triplet nieces who are seven and a 2 year old nephew, that live in Omaha, who keep Aunt Hilary & Uncle Henny entertained and quite busy.
I look forward to working with your child this school year! If you need to contact me, the best way is by email. Thanks for sharing your child with me!
