I have been the school counselor at Franklin Smith Elementary since the 2008-2009 school year. I work with students and staff to maintain a positive learning environment for all Mustangs. I deliver a curriculum aligned with the Missouri School Counseling grade level expectations and the American School Counselor Standards for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs. I also work with some students individually and in small groups.
In addition to my role as school counselor, I coach Girls on the Run, serve as building 504 Coordinator and serve on the committee for the Olweus Anti-Bullying Program, the building Leader in Me Lighthouse team, and the CARE team.
I am a member of the American School Counselor Association, the Missouri School Counselor Association, and a board member of the Greater Kansas City School Counselor Association. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
