Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Lisa Pace
Greetings! My name is Mrs. Pace and I am so glad that you took the time to visit my page! This is my twelth year at CME all which I have spent in second grade. You might say that I'm a little partial to my sweet second graders.
My three children watched me attend college to become a teacher. I wanted them to learn that hard work and persistence will lead them where ever they choose to go. Joshua is 25 and he works for the railroad as a conductor. His goal is to become an engineer within the next year. Lukas is 21. He is currently on his second deployment with the Marine Corp. He and his wife are expecting their first baby in September. I am excited to be a grandma, but I don't feel that I am old enough, HA HA! Ashley is 18 and will start college in a few weeks. She is a great help to me at home and at school when I sometimes work on the weekends. My husband and I are adjusting to having grown children and we are looking forward to writing our next chapter, (title yet to be discovered).
2006. When I walked down the isle to receive my diploma from Graceland University, I knew my world had just changed. I was given permission to educate children to the best of my ability. There has not been a dull moment yet! After my first year of teaching, I decided that I needed to go back to college to learn more. In 2008, I received my Master's Degree from Webster University.
My expectations are set high, mostly because I know my second graders. I quickly establish a relationship with each one of my students so I can meet their individual needs. My expectations of my students' parents are also important. Without parent participation, we cannot completely have a successful school year. I enjoy making connections with my students and it is equally important to connect with the parents.
Away from school I enjoy being outdoors. It is relaxing to camp and lounge by a pool with a good book. I try to get a brisk walk in when Missouri weather cooperates! My home away from home is in Branson. It is a nice, scenic drive (especially in the fall) and the shopping strip malls are great! My weakness can be dark chocolates and hot carmelicious drinks from Scotters.
