Mrs. Amy Lange
I have been teaching since 2007; all at Paul Kinder Middle School (previously Sunny Vale Middle School). Growing up on a farm in Iowa has given me great experiences in responsibility, accountability, and respect, which I strive to pass on to the students I come in contact with. In December 2006, I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO, with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education: Cross Categorical. Most recently, I graduated from Baker University in December 2014 with a M.A. in Education.
Since assertaining a job with the Blue Springs School District, I have been a Special Education case manager for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Not only have I taught Resource class for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, but I have also taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Specialized Instruction Math, ELA, and Social Studies. Currently, I am teaching students with social/emotional/behavioral disabilities. During Summer School and Extended School Year positions, I have taught 4th grade regular education, Special Education for those with learning disabilities, as well as students with social, emotional and behavioral disabilities and those who are deaf and hard of hearing. I look forward to each school year and the progress the students make throughout the year!
My husband and I have two wonderful children, a boy and a girl, who we love dearly! My husband farms with his family, which keeps him busy all the time. We love to travel abroad, take family vacations, participate in church activities, and simply spend time together as a family.
