Mr. Heath Creek

I am a graduate of Blue Springs South High School class of 1996.  It is special to me to be serving in the school district and high school that played a large part of the person I am today.
I have been teaching Spanish since 2006.  I taught two years of Spanish at the Freshman Center before being assigned to Blue Springs South High School in 2008.  I have also been an assistant wrestling coach since 2007.
An interesting fact about me is that I speak Italian and Spanish.  I lived in Italy for two years and learned Italian very well during that time.  When I returned to the United States in 2001, I resumed my studies in college and eventually earned a double major degree in Spanish and Secondary Education.
My wife is from Italy and we have raised our children in an Italian speaking home.  I understand how difficult learning a foreign language can be, but I also understand the great lifetime benefits that can come with it.
I love teaching Spanish and sharing my language learning experiences and knowledge.  I love watching students take something difficult like studying Spanish and see how they grow from the experience.  I see how studying Spanish helps students become more responsible young men and women.  I watch them learn with an increased perspective and understanding of the world around them. Among the coolest of all, I love to watch students gain an idea of the potential they have to do something great if they commit themselves and put forth the effort.
