I am an AVID reader. I desperately hope my passion toward books and learning rubs off on my students.
My latest hobby (which my husband says is now an obsession) is painting and distressing furniture SHABBY CHIC style. Transforming an ugly/out-dated/banged-up table or chair into a one-of-a-kind accent piece is absolutely awesome!
I teach Pilates, which I am obsessed with!
I volunteer at Missouri Town 1855, and if you've never been there or haven't been since studying Missouri history in fourth grade, you need to go again. I often sit at the tavern or settler's cabin and weave a triangular shawl on a loom or a scarf on a knitting board and listen to the rooster crow and the sheep bleating.
I've studied and practiced martial arts for the last ten years.
I am a writer as well. Unfortunately for me, morning is the best time for me to accomplish this task. When I retire, I plan to write every morning with a cup of herbal tea on my bedside table.
