Madame Amy Wilson
Je m'appelle Madame Amy Wilson. I've been a French teacher for twenty-three years, and I love my job!
I've taught all levels of French--from a middle school exploratory to Advanced Placement and Dual Credit French, but my favorite years as a teacher have been here at Blue Springs High School teaching French I-IV and dual credit French through UMKC.
I graduated high school in Lebanon, Missouri in 1989, and earned my Bachelor's degree from Missouri State University in 1994. (It took me 5 years to graduate because I triple-majored in French, history, and secondary education.) I earned my Master's degree from Southwest Baptist University in 2001, and I continue to take French courses that interest me through UMKC.
I've been married to my high school boyfriend (Michael) since 1995, and we have a bassett hound named Napoléon ("Napster") who is our only child. My parents (David & Carolyn Shotwell) are retired, and they live in Lebanon, Missouri. My brother David is 10 years younger than me, and he teaches English in Oxford, Mississippi.
