    Check in at 9:30 a.m.
    Bughouse at 10:00 a.m. (3 rounds)
    Youth Tournament starts at 11:30 a.m. (4 rounds)
    Award Ceremony at 2:00 p.m.

     

    The BSSD food truck will have light sandwiches to purchase from 11 - 2 p.m.

    All Chess Sets and Chess Clocks provided.

  • Spelling Bee Winner Miru Lee from William Yates Elementary

    Miru Lee from William Yates Elementary outlasted 17 competitors and won the 2018 Blue Springs School District Spelling Bee Tuesday night. Miru, a fifth grader, took first place while Delta Woods eighth grader Charis Morasch placed second, and fourth graders Abigail Smith (Cordill-Mason), Hannah Brown (Voy Spears Jr.) and Ethan Box (James Lewis) tied for third. Miru correctly spelled the word “hackneyed” to seal the victory.
