    Special Education 

    The Blue Springs R-IV School District offers a range of special services in order to provide a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment for students with disabilities. Parents who believe their children have a disability can contact the school counselor, the principal, the liaison process coordinator, or the district special services department.

    Our local compliance plan is available for public view at the Bartow Administrative Building between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

     
    IDEA Procedural Safeguards

    Procedural Safeguards Notice Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Parents’ Bill of Rights are available in additional translations (Amharic, Arabic, Chinese-traditional, Farsi, French, German, Hindi, Hmong, Khmer, Korean, Kurdish, Romanian, Rwandan, Samoan, Serbian, Bosnian, Somali, Swahili, Urdu, and Vietnamese).     Section 504 

    The Blue Springs R-IV School District provides a free appropriate public education to each qualified person with a disability in the District’s jurisdiction. Under Section 504 federal regulations, a free and appropriate education consists of the provision of regular or special education and related aids and services designed to meet individual educational needs of disabled persons as adequately as the needs of nondisabled persons are met.
