Arrival/Dismissal Procedure

  • Car riders may enter the building at 8:55 am daily. Please refrain from bringing your students any earlier, as we do not have supervision prior to 8:55 am. If you have questions about drop-off or pick-up traffic flow, please contact the school office at 874-3670. Your assistance in following the traffic flow, particularly in the afternoon, will help keep our traffic from backing up onto Valley View Road.

  • Enrollment and Registration for 2018 - 2019 School Year

    Students New to the District
    New Students registering in the district are required to take two of the following acceptable forms for proff of residency to the Department of Public Safety located at the Paul J. Consiglio Education Center, 1501 NW Jefferson Street, Blue Springs, 64015:
    -a current electricity bill (30 days old or less) *
    -a current gas bill (30 days old or less) *
    -a current water bill (30 days old or less) *
    -a mortgage contract (signed by mortgage company) *
    -a lease agreement (signed by landlord)
    -a mortgage statement

     *No final disconnect notices for utility bills are acceptable.
    In addition to your residency verification, please bring the following
    -Parent/guardian Picture ID (i.e. driver's license)
    -Student(s) birth certificate(s) (official state copy)
    -Divorce decree (showing custodial parent, if applicable)
    -Affidavit of Acknowledgement (if applicable)
    -Guardian paperwork if applicable (Power of Attorney is not acceptable)

    You must then take your paperwork from DPS and complete your enrollment at John Nowlin Elementary on July 31st from 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

    Residency Verification/Enrollment will be held at John Nowlin Elementary School on August 7th from 8:30am - 7:00pm
    Please bring one of the following forms when completing e-registration to your designated building location:

  • If you have changed your email address, phone number, address, or other information since registration in August? If so, just log into your parent portal and update your information.  Click on E-Registration, make necessary changes and submit.  If your address has changed, you must also provide the office with a copy of a current utility bill or lease. http://pschool.bssd.net/public


    If you would like to apply for your child to have free/reduced lunch or breakfast, you can now do that online at free/reduced lunch application .

    Coderdojo is a global collaboration providing free and open learning to young people, especially in programming technology. All skillsets are welcome, including those with no experience.Those with more advanced knowledge will be assisted in creating more advanced projects. Please arrive promptly at 9:30am.All ages will need a parent to sign a permission slip upon arrival. Kids under 13 will requre a parent to remain on site during the session. Open to grades K-5.
