Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum
As a team, we will be committed to provide differentiated instruction in the essential content areas to meet the needs of a diverse learning population and support the growth of lifelong learners.
Commitments
1. We will differentiate instruction to effectively meet the diverse learning needs of each student.
2. We expect all staff to be knowledgeable of grade level expectations and provide resources to enhance the learning opportunities of all students when needed.
3. We will collaborate with JLE stakeholders regarding effective teaching strategies and maintain a consistent and organized schedule to promote teaching and learning.
Challenging Goals and Effective Feedback
The JLE staff will utilize formative and summative assessment data to provide timely feedback and assist students in setting individualized learning goals.
Commitments
1. We will challenge students to create and achieve academic and behavioral goals.
2. We will utilize pre and post assessments to set goals.
Safe and Orderly
As a team, we will be committed to provide and ensure that each member of the JLE community feels safe and valued while having a clear understanding of behavior expectations and consequences.
Commitments
1. We will establish clear school-wide expectations through support and implementation of BIST procedures.
2. School personnel will communicate with all JLE stakeholders to effectively manage students’ academic and behavior needs.
Collegiality and Professionalism
As a staff, we will be committed to engaging one another in meaningful staff development activities including all areas that will impact our growth as educators and benefit our students.
Commitments
1. We will support one another through sharing and implementation of ideas and activities learned at professional development opportunities.
2. Extended time will be provided to reflect as a team during and/or after professional development activities.
3. Information gathered through professional development experiences will be shared with staff during our monthly professional development meetings.
Parent and Community Involvement
We will develop collaborative working partnerships between our school, families, and community to improve our school and strengthen family relationships and neighborhoods.
Commitments
1. We will collaborate with parents to ensure optimal success for students in both domains of academic growth and social growth.
2. We will collaborate with JLE stakeholders through surveys and open communication on ways to improve the learning environment for our students.
3. We will enhance our relationship with the JLE community by connecting with those agencies that need support which can in turn support our JLE families.
