Daniel Young Elementary PTA

Daniel Young Elementary School is proud to congratulate Tristan Handy for winning second place at State level for Musical Composition in the 2011-2012 Reflections Program Theme:  "Diversity Means...”  Tristan is a fifth grader at Daniel Young Elementary school and has been playing instruments at age five and started writing and composing in first grade.  Tristan is an outstanding student with great passion for music.   Ms. Debbie Gray the music teacher at Daniel Young has helped to inspire and foster Tristan musical talent!!

Designed to enhance rather than replace a quality arts education, the PTA® Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts!!

Welcome to Daniel Young PTA!! PTA is a "LINK" in your child's education. Joining together, parents and teachers can provide a quality school experience for your elementary school child.

Daniel Young Elementary thrives because of strong parent involvement. PTA is the Number One Link providing many opportunities for parents to show their support and be involved in their child's school. With the help of membership dues, the fall fundraiser, silent auction and the book fair, Daniel Young PTA has been able to provide the following: Assemblies; Teacher grants, 5th Grade Celebration; Murals; Multitude of School Events; Technology -- TV's, VCR's, Computers, Digital Cameras, Projector and Printers; Aquarium; Kiln for the Art Department; Risers and a stage for the Music Department; and new Playground Equipment.  This is an example of what the PTA has been able to provide to DYE with the help of our parents and business partners.

Our 2012-2013 Executive Board was voted on at the March PTA meeting.  PTA is getting ready for next year currently looking for Board members.  Don't let the word "Board" scare you!!  We will all work together as team to make sure each job gets done!!  Please let us know if you are interested in any of the positions!  Thanks!!
